Empty Pill Bottle Donations

Date: Sunday, April 22, 2018
Time: -
Location: Casstown United Methodist Church

Empty Pill Bottle Donations -The mission of Matthew 25: Ministries is to fulfill the words of Matthew 25:34-40 by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, affordable shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill, and humanitarian supplies to those in need. Additionally, Matthew 25: Ministries is committed to fulfilling Matthew 25:40 by educating the public on the conditions and needs of the “least of these” and by providing resources for action.

Matthew 25: Ministries accepts donations of empty plastic pill bottles for inclusion in shipments of medical supplies and for shredding and recycling. The pill bottle program fulfills the dual needs of improving medical care in developing countries and caring for our environment.

To prepare bottles for shipment please:

·      Match bottles with lids

·      Remove labels, leaving no glue or residue.

·      Wash bottles in very hot water and dish soap.

·      Rinse and dry thoroughly.

·      Replace lids on clean, dried bottles.

·      Place clean, recapped bottles in the receptacles provided.

Our second quarter collection of bottles will wrap up on Sunday, April 29th.  Please bring your cleaned empty pill bottles to the church by this date.  They will then be sorted and prepared for delivery to Matthew 25 ministries. Bottles will be collected quarterly.
