Live Free @ Casstown

 

Live Free Summer Reading Program On June 19 Casstown United Methodist Church will offer for the 5th summer the Live Free Program.

Live Free is a FREE program for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall. The program will be held every Tuesday June 19-July 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Free program offers lunch and snack, reading, crafts, games, sports, science/nutrition, service projects, and stories of hope. In the past we have had visits and special presentations from the Troy-Miami County Public Library; Brukner Nature Center; Casstown Volunteer Fire Department; Miami County Sheriff’s Department; Highland dancer, Morgan Frantz; WDTN Channel 2 weatherman Brian Davis; and farmer Ken DeWeese.

The meeting dates are: June 19, June 26, July 3, July 10 and July 17 at Casstown United Methodist Church, 102 Center Street, Casstown, Ohio 45312.

     Casstown’s After School Program -Will start its 4th year in September for children (K-5). The After School Program is the first Wednesday of each month during the school year from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Each month the program consists of a snack, a lesson that centers around a theme and Bible story, games, and a craft.

     If you know of any children in grades kindergarten through 5th grade that would be interested in joining the other After School Program children once a month, please let Diane Rhoades (339-3677) or Pastor Maggie (339-4828) know. The following adults help to make our After School Program a success: Sue Arnold, Teresa Frantz, Susan Harbaugh, Diane Rhoades, Lauraetta Wilhelm and Pastor Maggie Sykes.
